Why should I use your translation service?

The most important skills of a freelance translator are his/her ability to understand and write well. We are graduated translators with professional writing and technical skills. We do not outsource any work to third parties: all translations are carried out by ourselves.

Will translating my documents into French or Italian improve my business?

For sure: many people do not read English well, if they read it at all. Thus, having your documents translated in their own language will help them a lot and they will naturally pay much more attention to them.

What should I have translated?

To start with: your main documents (i.e.: documents you consider important to make yourself known abroad), your presentation, as well as your website.
In the case your company produces machines and you want to export them: the instruction manual. Indeed, machines must obligatorily be delivered together with their instruction manual in the official language of the country which they are placed on the market and/or put into service.

For some specific technical terms, my company wishes its own glossary to be used.

You can send us the glossary: we shall use it to translate the relative terms.

What about the quality of your translation process?

Our translation process is not the replacement of one word with another but the formation of concepts in the target language in order to provide more understandable texts to the end user. We deal with each translation individually, respecting its characteristics. We may ask clarifications on some sentences or about the preferred terminology in some specific case. For each translation project, we check its completeness and terminology consistency. Prior to any delivery, we double-check together all the translations (QC). We appreciate any feedback on our translation work (technical terms and writing style).

What about the confidentiality of my document to be translated?

When required, we can provide a non-disclosure agreement. In any case as mentioned above, we do not give your documents to other people to be translated and it is part of our work-philosophy not to disclose information.

How can I be sure you deliver a good translation?

If you prefer, instead of starting with a big project, you may start with the translation of a short text.
Anyway, reading our site already gives you an idea of our style and skills, as we created it ourselves!...

In what format are the translations delivered?

The translated documents are usually delivered in their original format (doc/x, xls/x, ppt/x, rtf, html, sgml/xml, xliff, sxw, odt, etc.).
We can also translate files created with QuarkXPress (xtg), PageMaker (tagged text), FrameMaker (mif), InDesign (inx) and Interleaf/Quicksilver (ASCII format).
In the case of documents in pdf format, we have to convert them in a editable format (this process slightly modifies the make-up). Then, the translated files are returned in pdf format or in the format used for the translation, according to your needs.

How much does it cost?

Its depends upon the length and difficulty of the text. Our quotation will be emailed to you quickly and free, making possible to know before the order the exact amount that will be invoiced.

Will it take long?

Just a few days for short documents; long texts, manuals and books take longer: the precise delivery time is mentioned in our offer.

How should I begin?

Start by sending us the documents to be translated by e-mail, fax, airmail or using this form: we will send you our offer very soon.
The offer has a validity period to give you enough time to take a decision. On our side, this gives us the possibility to plan our work in order to grant the delivery time.
Please state the desired target language and delivery time in your message.

How should I pay?

Payment is usually to be done by bank transfer, credit card (through PayPal) or cheque. Details will be included in our offer.

When shall I receive the invoice?

Once the translation is delivered, we email you our invoice that you may use to justify your costs.
